if you are using an iPad user runnng iOS5 (and you probably should be), here is hint that might be useful during browsing on mobile Safari. Simply start the browser, then press and hold the "+" new tab button. After a few seconds a menu will appear, listing previously closed tabs. This makes it quick and easy to go back to previously visited URLs.
It should be noted that this is not the same as visited URLs, since this list is only populated by tabs that you actually close. However, in practical use it has proven to be quite handy for getting back to places quickly. Please note that this works only on the iPad, not the other iOS5 devices.
