Aiptek offering $250 1080p digital camcorder

Low cost  digital camcorder maker Aiptek has thrown down the gauntlet when it comes to 1080p HD recording.  The AHD300 digital camcorder can record 1080p at 30 fps, and for higher speed recording it can record 720p at an impressive 60 frames per second.  The camera stores the media on a SDHC card, and a 4GB card will give you about an hour of 1080p recording time.  If that was not enough, the  AHD300 can also grab 8 megapixel stills and doubles as a media player.

The good news is that the Aiptek AHD300 only costs $250.  For that price we can  forgive the lack of an optical zoom.
