Stress can cause a great deal of problems, and often it will sneak up on you before you realize it. A group of researchers developing for the EU's CONTEXT project realize this, and have created a vest that can measure muscle tension and deduce stress levels.
The vest features sensors that are woven into the fabric which are designed to register the electrical excitation of the muscle fibers. The signals are then passed by thin conducting metallic fibers to a collection point for analysis.
It might be cool if the vest featured a three light warning system on the front, letting others know that the wearer is not in a mood to be trifled with. Unless, of course, you want to mess with someone, in which case the warning lights could be used as a scoring system. Stress Wars, anyone?
