iFoneTec reveals Video Ringtones for iPhone

Just when you thought you were accustomed to the way people assign music as ringtones on their phones, the next wave has started.  iFoneTec has now developed VideoTones, video ringtones for your iPhone.  The video starts playing when someone calls, and yes you can assign a video to a given caller.

I really don't get the functional aspect - after all, it really doesn't work unless you are staring at your phone when it rings.  Otherwise the audio portion of the video tells you who is calling before you can retrieve the phone and look.  Of course, this only means that video ringtones are going to be big business, so you can't say we didn't warn you.
