Liquid Image Swim Mask Has Built In Camera

Here is something that I wish I had on a past trip to the Virgin Islands, where we had a great time snorkeling. Now, snorkeling is a pleasant and fun way to enjoy exploring the waters without the expense and equipment requirements of scuba diving. However, it can still be difficult to take pictures while in the water due to the added bulk of the camera. Well, the Liquid Image 304 Explorer Series 8.0 Megapixel Camera Mask makes taking pictures easier by incorporating the camera right into the swim mask.

The unit is rated to a depth of 15 ft (5m), which should work out fine for most light snorkeling. The lens have integrated crosshairs to help you line up that shot just perfectly. You can even take pictures (3456 x 2304) or video (30fps@VGA), perfect for recording your underwater explorations and fun.

The swim mask uses 2 AAA batteries, which lasts for 2000 pictures or 2:30 hrs of video time when using lithium batteries. Now you can grab beautiful pictures and video of your snorkeling trips without worrying about dropping the camera. And with Winter coming on more every day, it is nice to think about snorkeling trips in warm places.

Snorkeling

Snorkeling (British spelling: snorkelling) is the practice of swimming on or through a body of water while equipped with a diving mask, a shaped tube called a snorkel, and usually swimfins. In cooler waters, a wetsuit may also be worn. Use of this equipment allows the snorkeler to observe underwater attractions for extended periods of time with relatively little effort.

Pocket friendly Bushnell Backtrack GPS great for simple GPS needs

There are times that a standard GPS would be handy, but a bit overblown for the simple chore at hand.  For example, finding the car at a sporting event or finding your campsite on the way back fro a small hike is a simple action, one that those not GPS savvy could find themselves aided by a simpler device.  The small weather resistant Bushnell BackTrack is designed for these uses and more.

The unit has a single button to mark your starting position with, and by using GPS and a self-calibrating digital compass it shows you the way back and how far away it is – very pocket friendly and easy to use.  The device ruins on 2 AAA batteries and incorporates the highly sensitive SiRF Star III GPS receiver.

The Bushnell Backtrack is pocket and pocketbook friendly at only $59.99 from Amazon.  Great device to have on almost any kind of excursion, from mall trips (if you have ever lost your car in a sea of vehicles you know what I am talking about) to day hikes.

Shampoo Bottle MP3 Player for Shower Tunes

Having a waterproof mp3 player that you can take in the shower makes sense, especially if you like to get your tunes on  and/or sing in the shower.  Having an mp3 player shaped like a shampoo bottle doesn't make quite so much sense.   After all, that pretty much guarantees that you will not be using it anywhere else but in the shower.

The player itself is actually not so bad, and features an auto scan FM radio, built in speaker (since headphones in a shower would not work so well), built in rope that houses an antenna, and available in different colors.  The power source is 2 AAA batteries, and you can find more info at Alibaba.

OF course, now this brings up the question – what shape will new mp3 players be taking in the not too distant future?  Toast mp3 players so you can jam as you spread your, well,  jam?  TV remote mp3 player so you can listen in between channel changes ( Short attention span interludes) ?  How about a sponge MP3 player so you can listen as you wash your car.  The possibilities are endless, if not somewhat gaudy.

Xtend-A-Trunk Helps You Carry Large Loads in your Trunk

There are times when getting something in your trunk (if you have a vehicle with a trunk) is like xtendatrunk_071008getting a square elephant into a round keyhole – it simply is not going to fit. For those times, Totes is offering the Lighted Xtend-A-Trunk.

The Xtend-A Trunk allows you to carry larger items in your trunk that may not fit otherwise by managing your trunk lid for you. The device is basically a flashing light suspended between strong adjustable steel cords.  You attach the cords between the trunk lid and the bottom, tighten the cord to keep the trunk lid down, and turn on the flashing light which acts as a no tailgate warning and caution to motorists behind you.

The Lighted Xtend-A-Trunk uses 2 AAA batteries (not included – I bet you were expecting that) and costs $14.95.  You can find it at AJ Prindle.
