Acer is getting on the mini notebook train by offering the Acer Aspire One, a device designed to fit into your lifestyle.

Only 24×17 cm in size, and weighing  less than 1 kilogram, the subnotebook claims a very impressive battery life of up to 6 hours. According to Acer, the device is being offered with either a battery saving 8g solid state drive or a larger  mechanical 80g. Also, the operating system is a choice for the end user, with both Windows XP and Linpus Linux being options.

The Aspire One has other amenities that make it a handy tool in the field, such as a five way memory card reader, WiFi, optional WiMAX or HSDPA, and an integrated Acer Eye webcam. The laptop will be available in four colors to fit the user's personal taste.

With the Aspire One, Acer  joins other notebook manufacturers in delivering a small laptop category that is helping to redefine what people are coming to expect from laptops, and having a quick booting, long running, durable and easily carried notebook as the standard can only be good.
