Buying High Tech Gadgets Via Vending Machine Expanding

MacyElectronicVending

I inadvertently press my nose against the glass, wanting an item from the vending machine. Spotting exactly what I wanted, I use my plastic instead of change and make my selection. The machine goes to work, and soon my item is dispensed. I pick up the digital camera from the slot, happy with my purchase.

Buying Electronics is becoming an easier experience, especially when it comes to Macy's.  That is because they are doubling the number of their e-Spot electronic vending machines in different stores, now totaling 10.

The items carried in the amazingly retro but effective vending machine vary from $14.99 to $349.99, and the items carried include the iPod touch, shuffle, nano and classic; Canon and Samsung digital cameras; MyVu personal media viewers, and Bang & Olufsen and Harman Kardon headphones.

According to Macy's, the electronic buyer wants  "one-stop, no-fuss shopping", and the vending machines are apparently delivering this.  No doubt the success of the electronic vending machine is due to a more informed buyer that has done their research before choosing to make a purchase. And the good news?  There will not be a salesman pushing a high-profit item while getting all of the specs wrong.
