Flying drones is always a hoot, especially if you have a live camera that puts you in the virtual pilot seat of the craft. But what happens when it gets dark or visibility is low? Well, thanks to FLIR, you can switch to heat vision and keep flying in all forms of adverse conditions.

The $3600 FLIR Vue Pro is designed with drone mounting in mind. The unit’s operation is simple, with a button for record and another button to pair bluetooth with your mobile device and / or remote flying rig. The camera records 640 x 512 video at 30 frames per second, which is quite good for a heat vision camera.

Now the next time you need to go on a nighttime spy mission with your drone, it’s nice to know that the hardware is just an online order away. Well, it will set you back almost 4 grand, but can you really put a price on this kind of fun? Yes, apparently you can.
