The giant video display has been active all day, drawing its energy from the generous amounts of sun we get here at the Beach. Now it was time to watch the show, and the huge wall came to life, taking the meaning of the phrase "Big Screen" to epic proportions. Solar powered so that it would work on the Beach, what a great find!
On the wall of the Xicui entertainment complex in Beijing, near the site of the Olympic Games, there is a huge display that is set to go live this month. While there are other huge displays in the world, the Greenpix Zero Energy Wall is powered completely by the sun. Not content to be merely wall decorations, broadcast performances are scheduled to be shown on the mammoth "green" screen. Charging up batteries from collectors and powering a projector at night might be another "Green" alternative, but this one is definitely more fun to look at.
