Personally I think that a hammock is one of the most relaxing things to lay on. I don’t know if it is the balance it gives, the slight swinging motion, or just the distribution of body mass across a sling, but I have often flirted with the ideal of bringing one into the house.
Of course, having a hammock in the domicile is not always practical, but the Hammock Couch changes that. Jill Davis created the couch, and she kept the important aspects of hammock partaking, such as the rocking motion and the “getaway” feeling. To accomplish this, Jill’s design incorporates a large clamshell mechanic, which in itself is interesting to look at.
I like the design, but I do think that the name “Hammock Pod” work work fine as well. Very interesting concept, and I am sure that others in the house would find it much more desirable than eyebolts screwed to the supporting walls for a standard hammock.
