Greg Chaffins Now here is an idea that I always wondered why it wasn’t implemented – a laptop screen that easily and conveniently rotates to a portrait screen. And this one does it without adding in extra bulk and weight. This would be great when coding and needing to scroll up and down many lines of code, or anything that is better displayed in a vertical fashion.
The Lenovo ThinkBook VertiFlex Concept was unveiled at Leno Innovation World 2025, and it seems like a natural fit for many users of laptops. The ultra slim (17.9mm) and light (1.39kg) laptop makes it easy to view paper sized documents without the constant scrolling. Also, it seems like the vertical display would be great for displaying two screens of content, like browser screens, that just doesn’t work on a landscape screen. I know portrait solutions have been offered before with laptops, but this is the first I’ve seen that does it so seamlessly without the extra baggage.
