Lenovo Enters Ultraportable Notebook Market with the Ideapad S10

Lenovo  has stepped into the Ultraportable notebook market with its introduction of the Ideapad S10.  The 9.8" x 7.2" machine will come with Windows XP as the OS, and features include a 10.2 inch screen, Intel Atom N270 core, advanced heat dissipation tech, and weighs in at only 2.4 pounds.

 

The S10 will be offered in some countries with a 9 inch screen and Linux, but for the United States (at least initially) it will be two main models: the $399 512MB  80GB HDD and the $450 1GB 160GB HDD.  The color choices will be black, red, and white.

  • Battery up to 3 hours with 3-cell battery, and up to 6 hours with 6-cell battery

The S10 is expected to be available around September, but the date is subject to change at this point.
