Greg Chaffins Here at NerdBeach we have an affinity for Lego, and have even mentioned them recently. But if you are a fan of the building blocks and like Star Wars (and who doesn’t?), you might enjoy taking a look at the latest offering from this team up, the Death Star Diorama kit 75419.
Unlike the Lego Death Star previously releases (which in itself is a magnificent build), this version presents the rowdy Dead Star as a series of scenes, all contained in a Death Star shape. The 9,000 piece kit includes all of the coolest scenes from Star Wars, including:
- The Hangar (“Stormtroopers everywhere!”)
- The Trash Compactor (What lurks beneath the surface?)
- A Working Elevator
- Tractor Beam Control Room (Don’t forget to ask “How are you” into the comm.)
- Emperor Palpatine’s throne room (This would be. great place for a showdown!)
- And last but certainly not least, the world-blasting Super Laser that only a Death Star can deliver.
You’ll find 36 figures to make your dioramas come to life, and there are a couple of droids as well just to keep it real. The kit comes out in October, and the street price is expected to be $999.99.
