New Romaine Jerome watch prides itself on NOT telling the time

Romain Jerome is a luxury watch company that is perhaps best known for their Titanic DNA watch that was made from actual salvaged materials from the infamous ship.  But their new watch, Day&Night, prides itself on something else – the ability to NOT tell time.

With no display for the hours, minutes or seconds the Day&Night offers a new way of measuring time, splitting the universe of time into two fundamentally opposing sections: day versus night.

A new interpretation of Time based around two Tourbillons operating sequentially. The Day Tourbillon operates during the day, defining the wearer’s period of activity, and stops after twelve hours, handing over to the Night Tourbillon dedicated to man’s own private sphere.

The cost for the non-watch watch? $300,000.  And before you think  too much about it, let me say that all 9 of the limited series of the watches have been sold.  Personally, I don't get  it.  I mean, I get the statement that you have risen above the need to worry about the exact time, but would that not be best served by proudly not wearing a watch in the first place?
