RCA Small Wonder Video Cameras Now Come in Three Models

The race for the point and shoot video camera market continues to heat up as RCA releases new Small Wonder RCASmallWondermini camcorders to compete with the ubiquitous Flip Video Camera.

The Small Wonder is being sold in three models, the Pocket, MyLife and the Traveler. The Pocket ($100) and the MyLife ($90) keep the fold out screen of previous Small Wonder models but with higher quality video and greater storage. The more rugged Traveler ($150) has an embedded screen, but it offers water resistance and shock proof battery contacts. The new RCA Small Wonder video cameras should be out sometimes this summer.

The Small Wonder joins the Creative Vado, the Vivitar DVR565HD, and potentially the new Flip Minos in the market that no doubt is owned by the Flip camcorder.  It will be interesting to see how things shake out by the end of this year, but by all indications the rule of the point and shoot video market is simplicity over features.
