Santa has been a great sport, taking his classic sleigh across the world delivering presents to all the kids for quite a number of years now. But his sturdy old sleigh is starting to show its age a little, so Land Rover, Jaguar, and GE are submitted new designs for an updated and improved sleigh.
The designs are all high tech in nature, and any of them will be sure to keep the jolly old elf making his deliveries in style for quite a few years to come.
Land Rover leads off the new sled designs with a high tech, particle accelerator powered sled that comes complete with a laser guided delivery system and CRS (that's Chimney Recognition System to those of us not in the biz). The sled also incorporates the RUDOLPH backup guidance system.
Jaguar's approach is a more retro rear turbo prop design, but with a powerfully sleek fuselage and high tech guidance. As with the Land Rover design, the technology is backed up by the RUDOLPH guidance system – it can get pretty rough up there, you know.
GE's approach does away with all of the original drivetrain and guidance systems (Rudolph and the gang, that is). The design is a retro-modern self contained high speed delivery vehicle that keeps some of the classic sled lines while providing a nimble fast vehicle that can get in and out of tight places.
