Having an event and want something unique to be the entertainment? If your guests are race fans, Scalextrix might prove to be interesting. Scalextrix has the largest transportable eight track slot racer setup in the country, and it can be hired out for events.
The large racetrack is provided with a race director, PA system, an eight lane computer controlled track (for the scoring, etc.). They set up a full race structure, so you can race until you have a clear champion, or four hours, which is the normal event duration.
Seeing the custom built racetrack makes me remember back to my youth, where we had a HO scale racetrack made by Aurora. The track saw a good workout, I can remember a few of the cars being ran until their pickups had holes wore in them. So, yeah, I would probably think that an eight track slot car race set would be a fun party concept.
