Star Trek Inspired Watch

I am a big fan of Star Trek.  I mean, I don’t wear costumes to the conventions, but in my youth I did record it on cassette tape to listen to back before VHS recorders were common place (that is a confession of both my nerdness and my age). So it should be of little surprise that a watch inspired by Star Trek should catch notice.

The HMS Automatic Warp Watch, designed by Arny Kapshitzer ( no doubt a big Star Trek fan himself), was influenced by the cult show.  The watch features carbon fiber construction, a hypoallergenic rubber wristband that is impervious to all acids (great if you get acid slimed while on an away mission), and a design that takes into account the human arm by making the crown side thicker for a more perfect fit.

The watch even keeps time, with the time shown on two superimposed discs, with the seconds are shown on a rotating cylinder dial.  The only bad news is that the warp is name only, it will not actually allow for travel speeds beyond the speed light.
