1870-Mt. Washington, New Hampshire. Originally a “stereo” photograph, this curious photo is dubbed, “the oldest UFO photograph ever taken.”
At the time that this picture was taken photo manipulation was a difficult process. Also, keep in mind that there were no unidentified flying objects at the time because there were supposedly no flying objects.
The original photograph was the subject of an EBay auction in 2002, where it sold to Samuel M. Sherman, the president of Independent-International Pictures Corp., for $385.
The picture above shows the image in reverse colors. This shows the outline of the image a little better.
