According to new owners Hilco Organization and Gordon Brothers, gadget retailer The Sharper Image plans to close all 86 remaining stores and sell off $50 million in inventory.
Sharper Image filed for bankruptcy protection in February and put itself up for sale in April. The San Francisco based chain reportedly lost than 135 million since 2005. I hate to see it happen to another gadget chain, but the writing was on the wall on this one.
