Good morning. You have 42 years, 8 months, and 19 days left to live. Make today count.
That seems to be the message that the Timex Life Index watch, or rather patch, is trying to tell you. The unique timepiece is a concept watch designed for the Timex 2154 competition (slightly more information here). The description sums it up:
The Life Index watch monitors the wearer's remaining life time by constantly updating biometric data through the skin. The watch processes information about key health factors- fitness, stress, nutrition, sleep and environment.
Watching the numbers drop as you do something you shouldn't – now isn't that a great motivator to take care of yourself? OF course, positive motivation may work well too, as in watching the numbers tick up when you go for a walk or meditate. Of course, there is a third alternative, and it involves strapping on the watch and cranking up the iPod to Tim McGraw's Live Life Like You Were Dying. The rest we'll let you fill in.
