Did you know that Siri on the iPhone 4S can even tell which aircraft that is flying above you in the sky? This cool trick works by using Siri to ask Wolfram Alpha to identify flights in you vicinity. To do this, just tell Siri to "Ask Wolfram what flights are overhead".
In a few moments Siri responds with a chart that shows the flights that are visible from your location by flight or registration number, their angle above the horizon, their altitude, and how far away they are from your position. You even get a sky map that shows any and all registered aircraft in the area. Amazing.
It is really starting to boggle the mind with everything that Siri coupled with a powerful search like Wolfram is able to accomplish. Now, the next time you see an aircraft in the sky, you don't have to guess who it is – just ask Siri.
