Oregon Scientific AnyWear 3D Pedometer

oregonscientific_pedometer_061608

Pedometers are great for measuring your exertion and distance covered, but usually they have to be fastened at or about the midsection in order to accurately get a good reading. Oregon Scientific has released the AnyWear pedometers that use 3d sensors, allowing accurate measurement of distance as long as they are carried. The pedometers can also use the time and distance together to tell you how long you'll need to walk to reach your specific goal.

The Oregon Scientific AnyWear 3D Pedometers cost $49.99, and they can be found at the Oregon Scientific Store.

Oregon Scientific Weather Watch

On a quick stroll across the Beach I stumble upon this, a weather predicitng watch from Oregon Scientific.  I have had other watches that included baromometers (most notably Casio's triple sensor watch), but they did not have the sleek look  that this one offers.  This watch, the Meteo, tracks pressure trends and displays the upcoming weather by using 4 simple icons.  This is a weather watch that makes it simple to use.  The watch is coming in May, and will set you back about $80.  One of the really good things about the Meteo is that no subscription, connection, or signal is required, the unit is completely self contained.  It would even work here on the Beach.

Aloha from the Beach,
greg
