Polaroid used to be the main name for fun and quick pictures. However, they have not faired so well since digital photography came to be the de-facto standard. That may be changing soon when Polaroid releases the Pogo, a Bluetooth printer designed to work with most capable cellphones.
The Pogo uses Zink inkless printing technology, and the resulting photo is smudge proof, water resistant, and even virtually tear proof. Even more, the back of the photo can be peeled off and it can be stuck at your location of choice. The cost per picture is about 33 cents, not bad considering the portability.
The Polaroid Pogo will cost about $150, and it should be available around July 6.
