You may have tried tracking a route using GPS, maybe with a dedicated device or a smart phone. And you may have found it a handy way to track your walking, running, and cycling adventures. But fitness fan and artist Stephen Lund has taken it to another level – he creates art with it.

Lund started his GPS art on January 1, 2015. The art he created said, “Happy 2015”. Since then he has expanded his artistic endeavor, creating more elaborate works. His typical artwork requires about 70 km, but it has taken as much as 225 km over a two day period to create a masterpiece.

This is such a great idea. Not only could it give you motivation to exercise, it also gives a reason to share your efforts. Check out his website GPSDoodles, it may inspire your next artistic fitness ride. Or at least you can appreciate his.
