At the Beach we really don't have that many flying insects, but at other places in my travels on this Earth I have been assaulted by the best of bugs. In order to combat the ongoing bug fest, two weapons used in the eternal fight between bug and man have risen to the forefront, the electric bug zapper and the mechanically simple but very effective fly swatter.
Now technology, doing what it does best by applying simple science, has given us a device that is a combination of these two well known tools. Known as the Bug Bat, the racket looking unit sports a charged mesh that allows the user to deliver a lethal jolt to a pesky flying critter. Yes, my friends, this is the electric fly swatter.
Unfortunately, it may be doubtful if the Bug Bat can survive on the open market long – the understandably open design of the high voltage mesh will be too easy for the less gifted of our society to prove their lack of survival skills. Still, this is no doubt an effective if not slightly entertaining bug eradicator.
