Here is an interesting design that is both eco-friendly and great for those with limited space for a garden (or just want to keep one in a limited area). The design incorporates stacked repurposed PET bottles on a unique stand that gathers and recirculates rain water for simple irrigation.
The design by Dr.Hakan Gürsu has won Green dot Awards and International Design Awards. The 1 mm thick stainless steel supporting structure is covered by a protective cellulose acetate curtain, which also promotes a greenhouse effect. So, not only does it encourage recycling and allow for crops in a limited area, it also protects those crops from scavenger birds – no scarecrow needed.
