Some rather unique furniture that has washed up at the Beach, new but somehow all too familiar. But what a cool concept – Lego "bricks used in building games for children" furniture. Now if you want a unique piece for the corner, or have a space that nothing else will fit, build it. Modular furniture has taken on a new meaning.
The Lunablocks come in different colors, so you can contrast or compliment as you see fit. Now this is where the real challenge comes into play – do you go with the standard block colors, making the furniture look like giant works by children, or do you try to subtly match the existing room decor?
You can find the Lego furniture, I mean Lunablock furniture, at Homology for different prices ($20 – 60), depending on the size of the block. Who knows, if this catches on maybe someone will build big versions of the Technics blocks, so that we can all build our own cars.
I think that is something that many of us would enjoy, building our own car out of giant Lego technics blocks (which as far as I know are not available at this time, the Lunablocks are, though). But just imagine, designing a custom ride of your own. And if you get into a fender bender, just snap it back together. Well, we can dream, but for now we can at least build our own furniture from building blocks.
