1952 Salem, Massachusetts July 16, 1952 1952 was a busy year for UFO sightings, and about that time Shel Alpert, a USCG seaman on duty in the Coast Guard Weather Office at the Salem Coast Guard Station, witnessed four unexplained brilliant lights in the sky. After dimming and brightening again Alpert was able to get a single photograph through the window of this office. 1950 McMinnville, Oregon May 8 Perhaps one of the most famous UFO photographs in history, Paul Trent photographed this unexplained flying object, which later ended up being published first by the local paper and later in Life magazine, June 26, 1950. These photos have been deemed authentic (not modified or retouched) for over 50 years.

1952 Barra da Tijuca, Brazil. May 7. Reporters Ed Kessel and Joao Martins, covering a news event for O’Cruzeiro Magazine, saw the object as it flew directly above them. Kessel was able to take five black and photos as it passed by. It was reported that the Brazilian Air Force had found 40 witnesses that confirmed the sighting.
The pictures above are a zoomed in picture of the UFO and a reversed color image which shows some additional detail.
1950 Redbud, Illinois April 23 Not much is known about this UFO picture outside of the date. Note the top part of the object, which appears to have a dome shape.
