Portable DVD Player Also Supports SD and USB Drives

It makes sense to have a round player for a round disc, at least to me.  The Round Portable DVD Player is just such a player, and it sports a 3.5" TFT screen.

The player will also read your SD card or USB drive and play the media on it, as well as give you TV out for hooking up to your big screen.  By supporting USB drives and SD cards the device will give extra life beyond a DVD only player.

The portable player supports MPEG-4,DVD,SVCD,VCD,CD, and DTS, and it comes with a remote control for when the player is out of arms reach.

The Round Portable DVD PLyer costs $110, and you can find it at Sourcing Map.

Samsung BlackJack 3 Releasing in Korea Mid July

BlackJack3_071008

Samsung’s BlackJack smart phones have been well met by the public, and Samsung is releasing its latest BlackJack III (model SCH-480) in Korea around the middle of July.  The smart phone is loaded with features including WiFi, Bluetooth, 2.6 inch touchscreen display (touchscreen?)  with 320×240 resolution, and a finger mouse (touchscreen AND a mouse?).

Also on board the unit is a 2MP camera for video calling and a micro SD card slot.  The device runs Windows Mobile Professional 6 (I guess it is a touchscreen), and will sell through SK Telecom. No definite word yet on its arrival elsewhere, but it should not be long.

DXG-567V is Inexpensive High Definition Point and Shoot Video Camera

DXG_567v High Def Point and Shoot camera The point and shoot video camera market continues to get entries, but the latest from DXG brings something new to the table.  The inexpensive DXG-567V video camera records in native High Definition (720p, at least) , so your video will look their best.

The camera records using h.264 video compression in a MOV format, and has a built in retractable USB cord.  Like other low cost cameras in this category there is not optical zoom, but the 567V does have 2x digital zoom (which is like having no zoom at all, to be honest).  The unit sports a 2 inch display, and handles SD cards.

The price ($179) puts the DXG-567V squarely in the point and shoot video market, and should give the other cameras some good HD competition.
