Yamaha Self Playing Piano Goes Wireless

yamaha_270x321 In case you did not know, Yamaha has beautiful baby grand pianos that have embedded technology which allows the instruments to play themselves.

But now the Yamaha Disklavier has made the leap to WiFi, allowing it to download a song and start playing by  without the need for a network cable. In fact, it could even hook up to your home network and monitor for files to play.

Imagine the capability this gives with a little creativity. Have the piano talk with a modified fridge and play "Cry of the Blue Whale" when you get out a snack.  Better yet, have it coupled to the front doorbell via a computer and suddenly you have the best sounding, and probably most expensive, doorbell on record.
